Services for William E. “Bill” Hyatt will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Second Baptist Church. Entombment with military honors will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Hyatt, 67, died Monday, August 17, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon, SC, December 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Gurley Hyatt and Dorothy Garrett Hyatt.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church, was a U.S. Marine Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, and was retired from CSX Railroad after 39 years of service as a Locomotive Engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Faye H. Hyatt of Dillon; sons, Billy (Kim) Hyatt of Dillon, and Jason Hyatt of Dillon; daughter, Lisa Johnson of Dillon; grandchildren, Tyler Hyatt, Brianna Hyatt, Kayla Hyatt, Jordan Hyatt, Mason Powers, Morgan, Sara, and Nick Davis; brother, Tommy Hyatt of Fresno, CA; and sister, Linda Hyatt of Spokane, WA.
Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacie Lynn Hyatt.
