McLeod Health announces the appointment of Joan O. Ervin as Administrator of McLeod Health Dillon.
Ervin has served as Associate Vice President for Quality and Safety at McLeod Dillon since 2006. In this role, she was also the Patient Safety Officer and on-site Risk Manager.
Ervin most recently served as the Interim Administrator of the hospital.
Ervin’s career with McLeod Health began in 1980 as a staff nurse at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
In 2002, she joined the Clinical Effectiveness team as a Care Manager responsible for quality improvement initiatives including Palliative Care, Surgical Infection Prevention and Colon Resections.
In addition to her position at McLeod, Ervin served as an Instructor and Adjunct Faculty for Florence-Darlington Technical College’s nursing program from 1988 to 2001. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina (USC) in Columbia.
Ervin also completed the Amy V. Cockcroft Nurse Leadership Program at USC in 2006.
Ervin and her husband, Fulton, live in Florence. They have two adult sons.
A member of Church at Sandhurst, Ervin serves on the Missions Committee.
She also enjoys reading, international travel and spending time with her family.
