GIFTED AND TALENTED (GT) chorus auditions were held at Dillon Middle School on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Eighth grade students participated in the state regulated auditions. Three outside judges, Brian Rhodes, Ja-Novice Greene-Richardson and Phyllis Hubbard, scored the students using a state approved rubric. Areas rated included: diction, tone quality, musical expression, presentation, pitch accuracy and musical response. Thirteen students were identified as artistically gifted in the area of chorus. These students will receive specialized instruction when they enter the ninth grade at Dillon High School in the fall. Auditions were organized by Joshua Fleetwood, chorus teacher at Dillon Middle School, and Jayne C. Lee, GT coordinator for Dillon School District Four.
