The Dillon Christian School Lady B-Team Warriors finished the regular season Tuesday with a 5-5 tie with the Florence Christian School B-Team Lady Eagles.
The tie gives the young Warriors a 9-3-1 record and the best finish in Warrior B-Team history.
The Lady Warriors also earned wins over Robert E. Lee Academy, going 11-1 over the Cavaliers at home on Thursday and earning a 14-8 win on the road on Friday.
In Head Coach Deloris Conn’s third season at the helm, the Warriors bested last season’s record of 4-10 and became the talk of the region. The majority of the team is made up of 6th and 7th graders and look to be unstoppable next season.
Coach Conn is assisted by coaches Lanny Carpenter and Sandra Mercer. It was reported that some of the teams asked Coach Conn to call off the dogs this season and Coach Conn being the lady she is did, but she remembered what some of those teams did to the Warriors in the past when they were weak.
The future of the Lady Warriors looks bright and in a few short years might be the area’s powerhouse.
Congratulations to Coach Conn and her staff for an outstanding season.
