Mr. James Barfield, 66, died March 10, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center of Dillon after an illness.
 
A funeral service will be Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View.  The burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.  
 
Mr. Barfield was born in Marion County, the son of the late A. B. and Kathleen Moody Barfield.  Mr. Barfield was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was a member of Hayestown Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Southern Steele Motorcycle Club.
 
Mr. Barfield is survived by his sons, Eric Grice (Sherri) and Scott Barfield (fiancée, Samantha Branch); daughter, Brandie Barfield (Shad); brother, Albert Barfield: and grandchildren, Sierra Hyatt, McKenzie Grice and Kyle Grice.
