The Dillon Christian School Warriors celebrated senior night with a 41-38 win over the visiting Marlboro Academy Dragons on Tuesday night in boys varsity basketball action.
The Warriors took an 8-5 lead in the first quarter and both teams added 12 points in the second to leave Dillon Christian ahead 20-17 at the half. Marlboro pulled ahead with a 15-6 third quarter, but the Warriors answered in the fourth, outscoring the Dragons 15-6 to preserve the win.
Michael Minges led the Warriors with a team-high 16 points and four steals in the win. Matthew Price added seven points with 12 rebounds, and Luke Price scored six points with 13 rebounds and five blocks. Jake Boykin added five points with two steals; Red Williams scored four points with two rebounds and two steals; Jim Carr earned three points with four rebounds and two steals; and Ellison Rourke grabbed six rebounds and made two assists for the Warriors.
Dillon Christian improved to 2-16 on the season and 1-6 in SCISA Region 3-2A.
The Warriors are scheduled to wrap up their regular season on the road tonight at Pee Dee Academy. The Region Tournament will be held at Florence Christian beginning next Tuesday, February 10.
