The Lake View Wild Gators fell 71-42 to the Hemingway Tigers on Friday night in varsity basketball action.

The Gators were led by Emmanuel Williams with seven points with Delvon Bethea, James Inman, Xavier Johnson, and Duane Nichols each adding six. Toole added 3; Anthony Bines, 2; Chavis Nichols, 2; Ford, 2; and Jeremy Moody, 2.

Hemingway was led by DJ Pressley with a game-high 17 points. Steven Palmer scored 10; Zachary Thomas, 9; Clarence Jones, 9; Jordan Porchea, 8; JaQuan Langley, 6; Phillip Williams, 6; Carlis Pressley, 3; Shamar Palmer, 3; and Desmond Pressley, 2.

Hemingway improves to 7-11 overall and 3-3 in Region 8-A while Lake View remains winless in the region.

The Wild Gators will be at Latta tonight but will be back home to host Creek Bridge on Friday night with varsity action beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Next week the Gators will host Green Sea Floyds on Tuesday and will wrap up the regular season on Thursday night at Carvers Bay.
