The Dillon Christian School Warriors fell 49-44 to the Williamsburg Academy Stallions on Friday night in Kingstree.

Williamsburg took a 15-9 lead in the first period and went 9-4 in the second for a 24-13 lead at the half. The Stallions kept up the the pace in the third, outscoring the Warriors 14-11, but Dillon Christian rallied for a 21-11 fourth quarter, falling just five points short of tying the game.

The Warriors were led by Luke Price with 15 points and Matthew Price with 14. Michael Minges added nine points in the effort, and Jim Carr and Red Williams each added three.

Williamsburg was led by Tripp Ward with a game-high 17 points and Dillon Feagin with 13. Smith added seven points; Brown, 5; DiDonato, 3; McGill, 2; and Watford, 2.

Williamsburg improved to 3-1 overall while the Warriors slipped to 0-5.

Dillon Christian was scheduled to host Robert E. Lee Academy on Monday night and will host Florence Christian this Friday, December 19, to open conference action. The action begins with junior varsity basketball at 4:00 p.m. with varsity following after. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
