The 29th annual Hamer Reunion was held on Saturday, October 11th, for all residents, former residents, and friends of Hamer, South Carolina. There were over 100 present and everyone enjoyed the fellowship, the renewing of friendships, and sharing old memories.  Some traveled from as far as Washington State to attend this reunion. There was also the good country cooking. A candlelighting ceremony was held in memory of those who passed away during the past year.  This special presentation is done each year at the reunion.  Mr. Dalton Sheppard was the speaker for the ceremony. They would like to thank the Veterans of Foreign Wars for the use of their building.
