Latta Baptist Church held their Homecoming service on Sunday, October 12 at the Ellis Performing Arts Center.
Latta Baptist currently has two worship services each Sunday, so the decision was made to have one worship service at the EPAC in order for everyone to be together at Homecoming.
Randy Harling, the new president of Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, was the guest speaker.

The service began at 10:30 a.m. and included selections from the Children’s Choir, which is named ‘Jericho Jammers’!

The Adult Choir as well as soloist Stephanie Johnson also led in the worship service.

Pastor Rob Pierce said, “Latta Baptist has a great tradition of Homecoming each year, when we invite anyone who has any connection to LBC to come home for this special Sunday. We want to look at the past, and how God has been faithful as we seek to serve Him now.”

After the service, everyone went back to the church fellowship hall where a small army of folks worked to make sure everyone had some great Chicken Bog as well as Fried Chicken with all the fixins’.
Latta Baptist is located at 202 N. Marion Street in Latta. They have two worship services each Sunday. One at 8:30 a.m. that is Casual and Contemporary, and another at 11:00 a.m. that is traditional. They also have Bible Study for all age groups at 9:45 a.m.
