Dear Editor:
I would like to share with our community what I experienced at a local doctor’s office on 9-25-2014.
I was sitting in the waiting room. A woman brought in an older man who was in distress. He was having severe chest pains and was short of breath, so they checked in and sat down.
I was sitting close by, and I could tell the woman was worried. Out of nowhere a guy walked up to her and put his arm around her and said to the woman we need to pray.
Let me tell you, this guy stepped up to the plate without hesitation with a waiting room full of people, and you could tell this wasn’t his first time praying.
He prayed one of the most heartwarming prayers I have ever heard. He prayed from his heart, and when he started praying for the older man, you could feel the presence of the Lord in that waiting room.
There were others who joined in praying for the man. I felt like I was in a church and not a doctor’s office.
This will be an experience I will never forget. Sir, your prayer touched my heart.
I commend you for stepping up and praying out loud in public for a man who needed prayer. God is going to bless you in many ways.
I pray that the older man is doing better.
Thanks,
Tammy Bethea
