The Latta Vikings fell 6-0 on Friday night to the undefeated Hemingway Tigers in the Region 8-A opener. The Vikings were celebrating Homecoming.

Both Hemingway and Latta brought some tough defense to the game, allowing just one run, a quarterback keeper from Hemingway’s Xavier Weaver which gave the Tigers the win.

Hemingway improved to 6-0 on the season and 1-0 in the region while Latta slips to 1-5 and 0-1.

The Vikings will be at home next week to host local rivals, the Lake View Wild Gators, at 7:30 p.m. The Gators are 4-2 and 1-0 in the region headed into the game. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
