Over the last two months the 4th Circuit Alcohol Enforcement, SLED, Dillon City PD, and Dillon County Sheriff’s Office have cited two local businesses for Sunday alcohol sales, Sarah’s Tobacco & Hot Zone. Merchants and individuals need to be aware that it is against South Carolina State Law to purchase or sell beer on Sunday unless an establishment has a particular license from the SC Department of Revenue which indicates that those alcohol sells may take place. It is also against South Carolina State Law for anyone under the age of 21 to purchase, consume, or be in possession of any kind of alcoholic beverage.
