Grand Larceny
A dump trailer was reported missing from Canal Road in Sellers on August 9th, according to a report by Deputy Don Lewis of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office at 774-1432.
Burglary/Breaking & Entering
A burglary/breaking and entering was reported at a convenience store on Highway 9 East, according to a report by First Sgt. Chaddie Hayes. The incident occurred on July 19th. The officer noticed a back door that was ajar and observed that someone had beaten a hole in the roof to gain entry into the store. Nothing was taken. A sledge hammer was found at the scene. Also responding was Officer Luke Brunson.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering
A break-in occurred at a store on Freddie Loop Road in Dillon on July 29th, according to a report by First Sergeant Chaddie Hayes.
The owner said someone had kicked in the back door and had taken multiple candy bars and other candy.

Grand Larceny
Two RTVs were reported missing from a local business on Highway 301 South in Dillon. Both were Kubotas. The responding officer, Luke Brunson, turned the case over to an investigator. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office at 774-1432.
Attempted Strong Arm Robbery
On August 5th, an attempted strong arm robbery at a convenience store on Highway 38 West, Latta, was reported, according to a report by Cpl. Tim George of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
An employee said that two men entered the store, put a chain around the ATM and tried to steal the ATM with a truck.
The truck is described as red Chevrolet 1500 single cab long bed truck. One of the men was wearing a tan jacket with a hood, blue jeans, and black Nike shoes.
The second man was wearing a black short with a white shirt under it, and blue jeans. Their faces were covered.
Other responding deputies included Private Art Quick and Detective John Brown.
