During undergraduate studies, Dr. Brooks received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, VA.
“I became a physician because of my love for medicine,” said Dr. Brooks.
“I like putting together the pieces of the puzzle to figure out what is going on with a patient. It’s rewarding to help my patients feel better and let them know that they are cared about.”
Dr. Brooks enjoys the great variety of care in obstetrics and gynecology. “Delivering babies is like nothing else in medicine – it is a special and unique event. It’s really an honor and privilege to participate in that moment of life.
“I also enjoy taking care of women of all different ages and walks of life. I find all of obstetrics and gynecology rewarding. I also have a special interest in minimally invasive surgery,” said Dr. Brooks.”
Dr. Brooks grew up in rural West Virginia and enjoys practicing medicine in a small town.
“Dillon has a very close knit, family-centered feel about it. I enjoy working in a smaller place where everybody knows one another, and they work together as a team.” Dr. Brooks most recently practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Pinehurst, NC.
She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Brooks enjoys any kind of outdoor activity – hunting, fishing, biking, or just sitting on the beach and relaxing.
