The Dillon County Technology Center presented a balanced budget to the Dillon County Board of Education at their meeting recently.
The proposed 2014-2015 budget is $1,578,889.75. This is an increase of $24,996.91 over last year’s budget. This is a 1.6 percent increase.
Director Jerry Strickland said they added two teachers and two new programs – law enforcement and nail technician. Only teachers with the step increases will get raises.
There are no capital expenditures. The 12-month agriculture program was discontinued. There was a 10 percent decrease in Carl Perkins Funds.
The board approved the budget.
