The Dillon School District Four budget has been approved.
Art McMillan, Assistant Superintendent for Finance, presented the General Fund Budget highlights.
McMillan said there was an overall budget increase of 5.29 percent over the 2013-2014 budget from $22,896,448 to $24,108,720. The projected Education Finance Act base student cost is $2,120. McMillan said, “There was no change in the Teacher Salary Schedule. Teachers with less than 22 years experience will receive a step increase ranging from 1.00 to 2.19 percent. There was no change in the classified employee salary schedules. Employees with salaries based on a District Salary Schedule will receive a step increase.” The employer contribution rates for health insurance coverage increased 8.8 percent.
Total revenue from local sources is $6,144,343. The total revenue from state sources is $18,051,245. The total revenue for all sources is $24,195,588.
The budget supports 372.5 positions. No tax increase is being requested.
The budget was approved by the Dillon District Four Board of Trustees and the Dillon County Board of Education.
