Latta Police Chief
A grievance hearing was held on Monday for former Latta Police Chief Crystal Moore.
Moore, the town’s first female police chief, was terminated in April by Latta Mayor Earl Bullard.
The grievance committee, composed of Latta town employees, has 20 days to reach a decision.

Presentation Made On
Forms Of Government
A presentation was made on Monday for Latta citizens at the Latta High School gym to inform them on the forms of government in municipalities in South Carolina.
Latta citizens will vote on June 24th to decide whether they want to keep the current strong mayor form of government or change to the strong council form of government.
The presentation was made by Bill Taylor from the Municipal Association of South Carolina.
