The Dillon County Theatre has been awarded a one-time grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission for the purpose of installing a projector and retractable screen to enhance their future programs.
“The South Carolina Arts Commission grant will enable the Dillon County Theatre to achieve our mission of providing quality programs for the citizens of Dillon County and the surrounding area,” said Frances Tyler,  President of the Dillon County Theatre Board. The South Carolina Arts Commission is the state agency charged with creating a thriving arts environment that benefits all South Carolinians, regardless of their location or circumstances.
Created by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1967, the Arts commission works to increase public participation in the arts by providing services. Grants and leadership initiatives in three areas: arts education community arts development and artist development.
