The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors ended region play Thursday with a 10-0 loss to the Lady Dragons of Marlboro Academy.

The Warriors, 0-10 in region play and 0-20 overall, have not had the season they had hoped for but believe many of the young players learned valuable lessons and gained experience.

The Warriors had two non-region games left heading into the week. They were scheduled to play Antioch Christian in Lumberton on Monday, April 28, and will finish the season today at home against Scotland Christian Academy. The Warriors will also be observing senior day at Warrior Stadium today.

The Warriors did not have a good at bat against the Lady Dragons but Head Coach Norm Norton and Assistant Coach Danny Ellis noted good defensive play by Sara Bass, Greta Seay, Hannah Walters, Samantha Carpenter, and Leah Stephens. Emilie Martin produced the Warriors only hit.

Sarah Fitzgibbon and Jamie Carpenter pitched two and a half innings each with Fitzgibbon taking the loss. Lindsay Hunter took the mound for the Dragons and posted six strikeouts with two walked batters and one hit for the shutout win.
