Latta’s Lola Haselden was one of three recipients of the 2014 South Carolina Eight and Under IM Tough Award at the Florence Area Swim Team’s annual banquet which was held on Tuesday, April 8.

Haselden received the award along with Sarah Howard and Cassie Hitch of Florence. The three swimmers earned the award by completing 50 free, 50 back, 50 breast, 50 fly, 200 free, and 200 IM successfully.

Other award winners at the ceremony included Carolina Howard and Drew Godfrey, who were given the “Iron Man Award” for 2013-14 Long Course and Short Course Season; Rookie of the Year, Isabelle Guerriero; Record Breakers, Caroline Spence and Carolina Howard; and Most Improved, Sarah Godfrey, Grayce Howard, and Gatlin Docherty. Ten swimmers also joined the “100 Second Club” by shaving off more than 100 seconds this swim season.

Madison Springer was also recognized as the team’s graduating senior. She will attend Clemson University this fall.
