Latta’s Lady Vikings earned an 8-1 win over the visiting Green Sea-Floyds Trojans on Friday night in varsity softball action.

The Lady Vikings took a 4-0 lead in the first inning and were ahead 8-0 after six.

Latta’s Anna Rogers earned the win on the mound and Latta’s Cora Owens helped lead at bat, with a home run for two RBI in the first inning. Dori Webster also picked up two RBI in the first inning.

The Lady Vikings improved to 10-3 overall and 5-2 in Region 8-A.

Latta will be away at Aynor on Tuesday, April 22, and will be back home to host Lake View on Friday, April 25, at 5:30 p.m.
