Congressman Tom Rice (R-SC) announced that he will hold a Seventh District Agriculture Tour on Friday, April 11.
One of the stops will be in Dillon and is open to the public. From 10:15-10:45 a.m., Rice’s tour will stop at Dillon Tractor & Implement Co., Inc., 1417 Highway 301 South, Dillon.
He will have two special guests accompany him on the tour to provide our farmers with an opportunity to discuss state and federal agriculture issues: Congressman Mike Conaway (TX-11), member of the House Committee on Agriculture, and South Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers.
“Agriculture is a leading industry in our district. I look forward to thanking our farmers and listening to their concerns and needs during these hands-on meetings,” said Congressman Rice.
“Our farmers work tirelessly to provide our community with a reliable and safe food source. This is not an easy task and one we must not take for granted. I am committed to working with the agriculture industry to find ways we can ensure the industry is sustainable and prosperous for years to come.
