Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators shut out the Mullins Auctioneers for a 13-0 win in five innings on Monday night in Mullins to open the softball season.

Lake View got on the board with two runs in the top of the second and added three in the third and one in the fourth. The Gators capped the win with seven runs in the fifth for the 13-0 win.

Lake View’s Marissa Tyndall earned the win on the mound, pitching all five innings, striking out eight and allowing just two hits.

Ashley Rogers led the Gators at bat, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, and Logan Spivey went 2-for-3 with two RBI for Lake View.

With the win, the Lady Gators opened the regular season with a 4-2 record.

The Lady Gators were scheduled to host Carvers Bay on Wednesday and will host Green Sea-Floyds tonight at 5:30 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local team!
