Recently several members of the United Christian Sisterhood, a Christian oriented organization of Lake View, visited the Lake View Elementary School to present supplies to the students.
They look forward to giving “book bag” items to contribute to the learning environment of the children. This is an annual service project to show support for the schools.
Mrs. Kimberly Scott Walsh, principal, welcomed the Ladies and received the array of items.
Teachers often use their personal money to buy necessities for their students.
Mrs. Walsh expressed appreciation to the sisterhood and stated on behalf of her staff and students that these supplies are welcomed and needed.
The United Christian Sisterhood applauds the dedicated staff and the well behaved students who were actively engaged in learning.
Ms. Janie Lyles, a retired educator, is the leader of the Sisterhood.
Ms. Wilhelmena Ford is the vice-leader. The organization has a membership of more than 30 members.
