Dillon’s Lady Wildcats defeated the visiting Loris Lions 61-23 on Friday night in girls basketball action.

The Lady Wildcats took an 18-2 lead in the first quarter and were ahead 33-6 at the half. Dillon went 15-5 over the Lions in the third quarter and 13-12 in the fourth to seal the win.

Tyshanna Lester earned a game-high 20 points with nine steals to lead the Wildcats and Yolanda Campbell scored 10 points with 10 rebounds. Khamele Manning added eight points in the win, and Tejah Breeden added seven, with Da’Kerhia Samuel and Kendra McLeod each earning six. Cali McRae contributed four points for Dillon and Jelissa Fentzlaff earned two.

Nasrah Gills scored 10 points to lead Loris, and Tonecia Griffith added six points in the effort. Demisha Phillips earned three points and Jasmine Farris and Jasmine Gore each added two for the Lady Lions.
Dillon remained undefeated, improving to 17-0 overall and 4-0 in Region 8-2A.

The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to host Waccamaw tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will be at Aynor on Friday for their second meeting of the season with the Lady Blue Jackets. Dillon will be back at home on Tuesday, February 4, to host Mullins. Game times are set for 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local teams!
