Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators fell 61-41 to the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders on Friday night in varsity girls basketball at Hannah-Pamplico.
The Lady Raiders took a 19-13 lead in the first quarter and pulled ahead to 43-18 at the half after a 24-5 second quarter. Lake View began to rally in the second half, going 10-8 and 13-10 in the final quarters, but it wasn’t enough to make a dent.
Hannah-Pamplico’s Talicia Murphy scored a game-high 22 points and Logan Jordan added 13 points in the win. Jazaria Eaddy scored 9; Emily Pyett, 4; Tyshera Eaddy, 3; Haley Ard, 3; and Kadasia Self, 2.
Lake View was led by Jasmine Ford with 16 points and Olivia McDaniels with 14. Ashley Sanders added five points in the effort and Tony Nash scored two, with Taylor Paige adding one point.
Lake View slipped to 6-5 overall and 0-2 in Region 8-A, while Hannah-Pamplico improved to 5-9 and 2-0 in the region.
The Lady Gators are scheduled to travel again tonight to face Creek Bridge at 6:00 p.m. but Lake View will be back home on Friday to host the Latta Vikings. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
