The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors only have six players this season and Friday night at least half of the team was under the weather to down-right sick.

The Lady Warriors played hard and I for one was proud of them. The team is made up of Sarah Fitzgibbon, Greta Seay, Jamie Carpenter, Madison King, Emilie Martin and Samantha Carpenter. These are six of the finest young ladies I have ever known.

Their coach, Carlos Washington, will also agree with me about the character of these girls.

The Warriors scoring was led by the Carpenter sisters, Jamie and Samantha, with six points each and Madison King added two points.

Leading the Bobcats was Tori Gaskins with 21 points, followed by Ally Gaskins with 16 points; Heidi Matthews with 10 points; Candace Morris and Jamie Yarborough with six points each; Mary Matthews with four points; Mary Burch with three points; and Hannah Weaver and Haven Brown with two points each.

Carolina Academy improved to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in SCISA 4-2A.

The Lady Warriors will host The King’s Academy tonight beginning with JV Girls action at 4:00 p.m.
