The Dillon Christian Warriors will be looking to build on a successful early start to the season as they return to action tonight at Trinity-Byrnes.

The Warriors are 4-1 as they return to regular season play, with a 2-1 record in region action. Dillon Christian picked up region wins over Robert E. Lee Academy and Williamsburg Academy, and non-region wins over North Myrtle Beach Christian and Clarendon Hall.

The Warriors’ only loss came from Marlboro Academy on Friday, December 6.

In that game, Marlboro took a 30-15 lead in the first half and outpaced the Warriors 18-15 in the second for a 48-30 lead.

Matt Jordan led the Warriors in the effort with a team-high 11 points, with Tyler Davis adding 9; Thomas Evans, 7; Luke Price, 2; and Ellison Rourke, 1.

Davis currently leads the team in scoring, earning 92 points in the first five games of the season. He also leads the team in rebounds, grabbing 25 so far this season.

The Warriors face the Trojans tonight with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m. and varsity following. The Trojans are 4-3 so far this season and 2-0 in the region.

The Warriors will be at home for the next two games, hosting Carolina Academy on Friday and The King’s Academy on Tuesday, January 14.
