On Thursday, November 7th, Chief Warrant Officer Harold Thacker, the Senior Army Instructor at Dillon High School and eight of his cadets were guest of the Dillon American Legion, Post #32. After having a meal with the Legion members, Commander Thacker asked each of his cadets to talk about how being a member of the ROTC had influenced their lives. Each cadet spoke about the positive experiences that they had from being a member of the ROTC and their plans for the future. All of the cadets talked about future goals that ranged from being a member of the Armed Forces to running for President of the United States. One thing that is for sure, being a member of the ROTC has instilled a sense of leadership and belief in one’s abilities, if you put forth the effort.
