The Dillon Middle School Wildcats took an 8-6 loss from Hartsville on October 30 but wrapped up their regular season with a 26-0 win over Sneed on Wednesday, November 6.
Hartsville took an 8-0 lead in the first quarter of the October 30 game with a 12-yard touchdown run and a successful conversion. Dillon got on the board in the second quarter with a two-yard run from Drae Thompson but a conversion run by Te’Ron Bogin failed, leaving the Wildcats trailing 8-6. Neither team would score again in the game, allowing the Red Foxes to retain the win.
On offense, the Wildcats had a total of 165 yards rushing. Jallian Williams carried 21 times for 130 yards; Drae Thompson carried 13 times for a total of 14 yards; Te’Ron Bogin carried seven times for 19 yards, and George Thompson carried once for a two-yard gain.
Hartsville had 107 yards total offense in the win.
On defense, Jackson Hayes led the Wildcats with five tackles and six assists; Ameer Dunham and Davis Cook made three tackles each; Drae Thompson made three tackles, two assists; Shamar McCollum made three tackles, one assist; Te’Ron Bogin and Tim Ratley made two tackles each; Jallian Williams made two tackles, one assist; Wyman Oxendine made one tackle, one assist; George Thompson made three assists; and Rodney Owens made one assist.
On November 6, the Wildcats hosted Sneed and took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter with Tim Ratley scoring on a 42-yard run. The Wildcats scored again in the third on a 57-yard run from Jallian Williams, and Williams struck again on a 66-yard run in the fourth quarter. Tim Ratley ran in a successful conversion to put the Wildcats up 20-0. Ameer Dunham sealed the win with a one-yard run with 1:59 left in the game for the 26-0 final score.
Jallian Williams led the team on offense with 185 yards on 14 carries. Drae Thompson carried 10 times for a total of 20 yards; Tim Ratley carried twice for 40 yards; and Ameer Dunham carried twice for a three yard gain.
Sneed had 18 yards rushing and 56 yards passing for a total of 74 yards on offense.
On defense, Jackson Hayes again led the Wildcats with six solo tackles and two assists; Drae Thompson made three tackles, four assists; Davis Cook made three tackles, two assists; Ja’Darius McDaniel made three tackles, one assist; Hunter McGirt made two tackles, two assists; Te’Ron Bogin made two tackles, one assist; Tim Ratley made two tackles; Jallian Williams and Shamar McCollum each made one tackle with one assist; Shamar Moore and Stanley Morrison each made one tackle; and Zachery Nelson, Rodney Owens, and George Thompson each made one assist.
Dillon’s Middle School Wildcats finished the season with a 4-3 record.
