Officers Were Like
Guardian Angels

Note: The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office received this note about two of their officers. We wanted to share it with you.

A note to let you know about our trip to Myrtle Beach (Tuesday, Sept. 10th). Our car broke down on us between Bennettsville and Marion on the shoulder of the road.
After waiting two hours for AAA to show up, two of your deputies stopped to help us. We waited another hour and a half on the tow-truck. During that time, Deputy Tim George and Deputy Sheriff Glenn Coates stayed with us. Our four year-old grandson was entertained by both of them. He really enjoyed being in the Sheriff’s car. Tim answered all his questions and made those last hours more fun!! We even got a picture of him in the car with Tim’s hat on. It’s our screen saver on the computer. He has changed his mind about what he wants to be when he grows up. Instead of a preacher or politician, he is going to be a Sheriff Deputy.
After the tow truck came, we didn’t know where to take the car. Glenn and Tim came to our rescue again!
They carried us and led the truck driver to a man who does his repairs. We were very satisfied with the service. He fixed the car within an hour and we were very satisfied. (Very reasonable.)
We feel like we met our guardian angels that day and we will never forget them. Such nice people. We are still telling everybody about the Dillon County Sheriff Dept.
Greatfully yours,
Kenneth &  Harriet
Washburn
And Jentry too
(future Deputy)
