On December 16, 2011, the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office responded to 2658 Buttonwood Drive in Hamer in reference to a deceased person at the residence.
The victim was Randy Demond Rogers and the Sheriff’s Office, Coroner’s Office, and SLED began an investigation into his death and determined that the death was a murder. The case remains open, according to Captain Cliff Arnette, and the Sheriff’s Office is asking for any information that you may have concerning Rogers’ murder.
Rogers was last seen alive by a family member at approximately 7 a.m. on December 16, 2011 at the residence of his mother located at 2658 Buttonwood Drive in Hamer.
