Mr. Robert Johnson died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Mullins Nursing Center in Mullins, SC after an illness.
A funeral service was held Saturday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Lake View.  Burial followed  at Lake View Cemetery.  The family received friends on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.
Mr. Johnson was born in Mullins, the son of the late Marvin and Mildred Arnette Johnson.  Mr. Johnson was very active in the Lake View Community.  He was a member of the Lion’s Club, Hillsboro Masonic Lodge, First Baptist Church of Lake View, and also a member of Lake View Fire Department..  Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the US Army and a retired employee of Cooke Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Julia McLaurin Johnson; sons, Alan Johnson (Shana)  of Florence and Lee Johnson (Rhonda) of Charleston: brother, Michael Johnson (Brenda) of Rowland, NC; sister, Dorothy Powers (James) of Lumberton; and 4 grandchildren, Kirk, Zeb, Cooper and Harper Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his son, Derek Keith Johnson.
