Services for Mary Doris Barfield Watts will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Dillon Second Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Watts, 79, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, SC, December 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Perry Barfield and Blanche Hayes Barfield. She was a lifetime member of Dillon Second Baptist Church, and was retired from Dixiana Mills after 34 years of service. She was the widow of the late Roy Watts.
Survivors include her children, Leroy (Donna) Watts, Frank (Shirley) Watts, both of Hartsville, Ronnie (Teresa) Watts of Clio, Doris (Bobby) Frye of Little Rock, and Curtis Watts of Hamer; grandchildren, Kristie Walters, Ronnie Watts, Michelle Outlar, Shannon Wise, Ken Watts, Lynn Frye, Bradley Watts, Matthew Watts, and Kaylin Watts; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Mary Lou) Barfield of N. Augusta, SC; sister, Joyce Woodberry of Augusta, GA; special friends, Caleb & Hanna Lane; caregivers, Irene Grimsley, Bonnie & Toni.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nicholas Wallace for the care given to Mrs. Watts during her illness.
