Dear Editor:
Ongoing communication and any illustration of how taxpayers’ dollars are handled is no laughing matter.
In fact, it should be encouraged to a point where taxpayers can understand the general financial practices of the county and inquire about specifics free from any pushback.
In doing so, we, especially community/business leaders and organizations, should respect differences without degrading ourselves by insulting or making personal attacks against others; which in turn offends a lot more people than intended.
Wouldn’t it be great if we focused on each others’ strengths and ideas to efficiently and effectively move Dillon County forward?
