Dillon County Council Chairman Archie Scott recently responded to The Dillon Herald’s interview with County Administrator Clay Young about the county’s finances.
Scott asked if the county is in “such great financial shape” why the county administrator will not sit down with council at a workshop and go over the bank statements. The Herald called County Administrator Clay Young to inquire about this and he said that he gives the council a monthly financial report and the auditors were recently here and went over the same information. The county administrator does not control the bank statements. They are controlled by the treasurer.
