Cecil Evander Tyndall, 82, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Mullins Nursing Center after an illness. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, at Zion Southern Methodist Church, burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Richardson Funeral Home of Marion. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Zion Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
Mr. Tyndall was born in Dillon County, a son of the late Sam and Janie Brumble Tyndall. He is also predeceased by his wife, Cherry Margaret Tyndall, son, Samual Craig Tyndall, daughter, Amanda Ceciliann Tyndall; as well as all his brothers and sister. Mr. Tyndall was a retired farmer, member of Zion Methodist Church and the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War.
Surviving are sons, Cecil Evander “Van” Tyndall, Jr. (Terisa), Charles “Charlie” Greg Tyndall; daughter, Jane Tyndall Bryant (Terry); grandchildren, Brandy Allen, Greg Tyndall, Matthew Baxley, and Caroline Bryant; great-grandchildren, Madison Grice, Emily Baxley, and Lilly Baxley; and special friend and caregiver, Ms. Virginia Clark.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and employees of Mullins Nursing Center.
