More than 25 people attended an informative roundtable discussion on pharmaceutical drugs held recently. This was sponsored by the City of Dillon Police Department and the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
The meeting had representation from law enforcement, EMS, coroner’s office, physicians, pharmacists, DHEC Drug Control and the Solicitor’s Office. Various topics of concern were discussed to draw attention to the rising problem of controlled drugs in Dillon County and throughout the world. The growing pharmaceutical drug problem not only affects law enforcement, but also affects communities, industries, education, churches, and families.
