The Lake View Wild Gators hit three home runs in Johnsonville on Tuesday night as they cruised past the Flashes, 15-2 in five innings in Johnsonville on Tuesday.
Weston Rogers got the win on the mound, pitching four innings and striking out eight.
At bat, Eric Munoz, Darius Leonard, and Hunter Walters each had a home run. Munoz went 2-for-4 with a RBI; Leonard went 1-for-2 with two RBIs; and Walters went 1-for-2 with three RBIs.
Chris Ford went 3-for-4 at bat for the Wild Gators and had two RBIs, and Weston Rogers went 2-for-4 with a RBI.
The Wild Gators improved to 14-1 overall and 7-1 in Region 8-A for second place behind Latta.
Lake View is scheduled to host Green Sea-Floyds on Friday and will host Latta on Tuesday, April 16. The Vikings delivered Lake View’s only loss of the season, and a win by Latta on Tuesday would likely give them the region title, while a win from Lake View would tie the two teams. Both games are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m, so make plans to attend for some exciting local baseball action!
