Latta’s Tianna Deberry has been named to the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association’s All-State team.

Deberry, who led the top-ranked Lady Vikings in scoring, was the only local player named to the list.
Timmonsville’s Sade Eli was named the Class A girls Player of the Year and Johnsonville’s Crystal Williams was also named to the Class A list.

In Class 2A girls, Kirea Robinson of Keenan was named Player of the Year. Niesha Godfrey of Mullins was the only player from the Pee Dee named to the All-State list. Lake City’s Shaunice Fulmore and Jasmine McClam were both named All-State.

In Class 3A, Heather Jankowy of Wahalla was named Player of the Year and in Class 4A the honor went to Alanina Coates of Dutch Fork.

The Class A boys All-State team includes Cordea Wilson of Johnsonville, Dominic Scott of Hemingway, and Devonte Ellis of Hannah-Pamplico. DaShaun Aiken of Carvers Bay was named Player of the Year.

In Class 2A boys, Marcus Stroman of Keenan was named Player of the Year. Marion’s Kevin Rowell and Lake Marion’s Khalil Halls were both named to the list.

In Class 3A, Eastside’s Davaris McGowens was named Player of the Year and Tre Smith of Hillcrest was named Class 4A Player of the Year.
