On December 4, the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities (SCGSAH) presents its annual Sinfonia concert.
A local student will be performing. Kristina Osborn, trumpet, of  Latta (Latta High School) will be part of the Wind Ensemble.
The concert, held at First Baptist Church (847 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC), will be in two parts, the Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble.
The Wind Ensemble, conducted by David Hamilton, will performing Norman Dello Joio’s Variants on a Mediaeval Tune, Frank Ticheli’s Simple Gifts, and John Mackey’s Hymn to a Blue Hour. 
The Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Kathryn Dey, will perform Mozart’s Overture to the Magic Flute and Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 (the “Unfinished”). The orchestra will be joined by SCGSAH alumnae Michele Tate.
 The concert will conclude with Leroy Anderson’s most popular seasonal piece, Sleigh Ride.
The concert is free and open to the public.
