Services for Ernest John “Ernie” Watts, Jr. will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Watts, 81, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Heritage Home of Florence.
Born in San Francisco, California, March 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Ernest John Watts, Sr. and Josephine Tabor Watts. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, and retired as a teacher at the Dillon County Vocational School. He was also a member of the City of Dillon Fire Department with over 40 years of service, and was a member of the Dillon Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Louise Watts Daniels (Charles) of Florence and Patti Lynn Watts of Marion; grandchildren, Kevin (Winkie) Daniels and Chad (Heather) Daniels; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Daniels, Brycen Daniels, and Paige Daniels.
