The congregation of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is happy and excited to announce the addition of Rev. Kenneth E. Jones as pastor.
Rev. Jones and family have moved to Dillon from Lavonia, Georgia. Rev. Jones is married to Kathleen Deas Jones, and they have two adult children, Ryan Daniel Jones and Renae Lauren Jones.
Rev. Jones was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister on May 15, 1983 and has over 29 years of ministry in various churches and positions in the southeast. He began his education with an Associate of Arts: Religion from Brewton-Parker College, Mount Vernon, Georgia. Rev. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science, business management, from Limestone College, Gaffney, SC. He also holds a Master of Divinity with Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Ministry. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary-Atlanta Extension with only dissertation and two classes remaining for graduation.
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is located at 1925 Highway 57 South in Dillon. The church is among the most historical and active fellowships in Dillon having celebrated 150 years in 2002.
