HUNTERSVILLE—Tammie Lynn Mullis Hiott, 41, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at CMC –Main.
A native of Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of Ruth Mae Hagans Mullis and the late Billy Joe Mullis.
Tammie was a loving wife and mother and a beloved daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time near the water and was an accomplished scuba diver. She also enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Florida Gator fan.
She is survived by her husband Steven “Steve” Hiott, who started at East Elementary and graduated Dillon High School Class of ’83. I wish to memorialize my wife to many old friends in Dillon which never knew Tammie. Extended family and friends attended an overflowing chapel in Belmont, NC, home of her mother.
Per Tammie’s requests, her ashes will be spread across the reefs of Key West, Fl.
Memorials appreciated to Green Peace-Save the Whales or any non-profit.
