Murtie Irene Clark, 86, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at her home, Monday, July 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Latta, SC. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta.
Mrs. Clark was born in Dillon County May 10, 1926, the daughter of the late James Marcus and Alberta Gilbert Tart. She was the widow of Fred Clark. She was a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was and Evangelist of the Holiness faith and had a radio program ministry many years ago.
She is survived by her sons, William (Dorothy) Clark, Donald (Linda) Clark both of Latta, SC and Ricky (Teresa) Clark of Sellers, SC; daughters, Mamie Lee (Bobby) Moody of Dillon, SC, Maxine Shaw, Marilyn Crowley both of Latta, SC, and Wanda (Ernest) Jackson of Sellers, SC; and four genrations of grandchildren, which includes eighteen grandchildren and over one hundred great, great-great, great-great-great, and great-great-great-great grandchildren.
