A 58-year-old Little River man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on May 16th, according to Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 9 and Cashua Ferry Road at approximately 1:45 p.m.
The Little River man was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala and was traveling south on Highway 9 West. The other man, identified as Joshua Phillip Price, age 22, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban and was traveling north on Highway 9. Collins said that Price attempted to make a left turn onto Cashua Ferry Road, failed to yield the right of way, and a two-vehicle collision occurred killing the operator of the Chevrolet Impala..
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the deceased driver as Robert Walker of Little River. He was wearing a seat belt.
Collins said the collision is under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
