Anna Rogers pitched a shut-out for Latta to lead the Lady Vikings to a 5-0 win over Carvers Bay.

The Vikings got one run in the first inning and scored two runs each in the second and sixth to claim the win.

Anna Rogers pitched the complete game and allowed just three hits while striking out 12 with no walks.

C. Jones took the loss for the Bears, pitching the complete game and allowing nine hits, five runs, three earned runs, and a walk. She struck out three.

Macy Hyatt went 2-for-3 with a run and Cora Owens went 1-for-1 with a double and two RBIs to lead Latta at bat. Chelsea Welty, Dori Webster, Raven Baxley, Tori Grimsley, and Taylor Cox each got hits for Latta.

Latta’s record improves to 4-0 and 2-0 in Region 8A.

The Lady Vikings were scheduled to travel to face Lamar on Wednesday. On Friday, Latta is scheduled to host Green Sea-Floyds at 5:30 p.m. and on Monday the Vikings will be on the road again to take on Hannah-Pamplico at 5:30 p.m. Make plans to attend the home games to support our local team!
