Services for John Herman Cook will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation washeld 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Mr. Cook, 72, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, April 25, 1939, he was the son of the late John H. Cook and Ella Hodge Jordan. He was a retired Mechanic.
Survivors include his son, John Michael (Dawn) Cook of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Roxanne (Trever) Fix of Haxtun, CO; grandchildren, Shawn Michael Cook, Samantha Cook, Christopher Cook, Sheena Fix, Cody Fix, Cole Fix, and Ashli Cook; great-grandchild, Alayna Cook; brothers, Maybank (Doris) Cook of Floydale and James (Lucille) Cook of Dillon; sister, Shelby Jean Richardson of Latta; nieces and nephews, Marleen (Rufus) Lane, David Duncan, Susie (Steve) Hayes, Crystal (Robbie) Cook, Pat (Johnny) Aston, Sherry (Jeremy) Horne, and Cherry Hyatt; numerous other nieces and nephews.
