Several Dillon Christian School students have been involved in the school’s first Chess Club this school year. On January 24, 2012 five of our students attended the SCISA State High School Chess Tournament. Seniors Madeleine Desser, Jonathon Justice, and Ben Price and freshmen Tate Hamilton and Ellison Rourke each participated in the five round tournament in Orangeburg. The DCS team finished in the top 10 of the state in SCISA. Ben Price won three of the five rounds and finished in the top third of all individual participants, losing only to the top players in the tournament.
